Deep House Yoga Project - Monday's with a Twist

Deep House Yoga Project is setting up shop every Monday night for a summer sessions series at SLYFOX in Enmore.

A delicious combination of deep breaths, deep bends and deep beats - Yogi Saoirse Connolly and DJ Jen Stallard - co-create the space for your souls to shine through a sensory journey of juicy Vinyasa flow.

All to a live, spine-tingling DJ set of melodic deep house beats - connecting you to breath and movement while getting lost in the magic of the music.

Yoga is a 360 degree practice that brings us on a physical quest with empowering mental benefits and a spiritual remembrance of how truly magical we are.

Merged with the sounds of today's underground music we aim to add a bit of oomph to your OM by deepening our connection to our yogic practice, ourselves and each other in a way only great music can.

We promise to calm your mind, energise your body, fill your heart with love and massage your soul while dancing to the beat of your own unique flow.

Join us for an adventure of elevation & transformation, where the ultimate destination is BLISS.

You don't want to miss this.

Deep beats, love and peace :)

Motif:014 Luka Sambe / Filterbear (Lost & Found)

When Luka Sambe and Filter Bear met as young teenagers in suburban Sydney, Australia one thing was evident – almost an unhealthy shared obsession with music. Living just a couple of streets apart helped the pair to develop a close friendship, which led to the start of a musical partnership stretching over ten years.

Over time, both Luka and Filter Bear have gone on to develop their unique individual approach and style of creation, resulting in numerous solo releases between them on leading underground labels ranging from Lost & Found, TRAUM Schallplatten, Armadillo Records, Sudbeat Music, Perspectives Digital, Replug Recordings, Juicebox Music, ICONYC and many more. Consequently their solo work has been strongly embraced and supported by the industry’s leading stars such as Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Solomun, Sebastien Leger and Robert Babicz to name a few.

When the two artists collaborate, something special always seems to spill from their hearts. Luka Sambe’s intense grooves and mind-bending percussion style mends like a liquid cloud with Filter Bear’s atmospheric chord progressions that move you to heightened places and drive undeniable emotion.
Combined, their personal and honest creations become a distinct Luka Sambe & Filter Bear production that sounds truly unique. Play any one of their records and you’ll certainly be swept up on an unexpected trip into their musical journey filled with raw energy, melody and pure soul.

While the pair have focused more of their energy on studio work, some notable DJ appearances include two shows at Destino Pacha in Ibiza, which inspired them to create their biggest track to date – Hebe XVI on Guy J’s Lost & Found.

Foxlife / Ian Pooley

For March 24th, we’ve dug deep to present a true living legend of the house genre. A fan favourite amongst proper house heads and veteran of the scene – Ian Pooley. Alongside him, we’ve entrusted the smoke filled floor of the SLYFOX to; Michelle Owen, Larry Diamond and The Hatton Brothers.

Ian Pooley

Over twenty years into his career, Ian Pooley continues to embody the heart and soul of real house music. With five artist albums under his belt, Pooley has perfected the balance of classic and contemporary sounds in his ever-evolving production work. As a favourite of house & techno fans and DJs, Pooley remains a highly regarded and respected figure in modern electronic music. Talk has already begun to generate around his Australian tour, and the SLYFOX is lucky enough to present the most intimate of shows with the master selector/analogue lord.

Foxlife / Djebali

Our inner-west foxhole has seen a transformation of late, receiving an influx of new talent, not fit for just any dancefloor, and not just any sound-system. Our Funktion-One (Official) system has been given a serious workout in 2018, and we’ve sourced a proven artist to take it to that extra level – Parisian house music marvel Djebali joins us for an intimate session under the lampshades – as we showcase pure eminence of sound – with an extended 4-hour set from the Frenchman.

Djebali // (4 Hours)

A Parisian club kid in the early 2000s, Djebali has learnt from the best, and grown into the shoes he wears today as one of the most accomplished house producers from the city of love’s new generation of talent. Driven by his own self-titled imprint in 2011 and several sub-labels in the last few years, together with gigs at high-profile clubs around the globe and a back catalogue full of classic house grooves of the highest order - not to mention his 2016 debut album ‘5’, he is a Parisian golden boy & he’s all ours deep in the dim luminosity of the SLYFOX on Saturday 31st March.
